Legislators come together at ALEC’s annual meeting

The 2018 ALEC annual meeting in New Orleans marks 45 years of legislators coming together to share ideas and experiences to create research-based model policies focused on limited government, free markets and federalism.

Since 1973, ALEC has welcomed presidents, candidates, cabinet secretaries and other leaders. This week was no different. Speakers included Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, and HHS Secretary Alex Azar.

Excitement abounded as legislators discussed pro-business policy advancements. ALEC legislators are the driving force behind tax reform and job creation in the states. ALEC is the place where discussions start. The states are where change occurs.
