Northern Virginia is taking another step toward becoming a major tech hub. Calling Northern Virginia “the quiet next Silicon Valley,” Yext Founder Howard Lerman just announced plans to open its newest headquarters in Rosslyn.

The New York-based tech company specializes in “digital knowledge management technology,” used by companies including Marriott, T-Mobile and Ben & Jerry’s. Yext plans to hire 500 employees over the next five years, including engineers and software developers, as well as advertising and digital marketing specialists.

The new office will occupy the top three floors of 1101 Wilson Blvd. near Deloitte, CEB and Nestle’s current offices.
