When RBG met Lolita

You might not know the secret behind the beauty of RBG’s writing during her time as a Supreme Court Justice.

You may, however, be familiar with a famously controversial Lolita, hailed as one of the best books ever written. Its author, Russian-émigré Vladimir Nabokov, was actually a mentor of RBG’s writing and reading.

How did their paths cross? Nabokov was her professor during her time as an undergraduate at Cornell in the fifties. Even all these years later, RBG still credited him as the biggest influence on her writing. His impact is illuminated in the eloquence of her celebrated decisions.
