The Friends of the National Arboretum serves the community youth through the Washington Youth Garden. What began in 1971 has evolved, but the heart remains the same: providing hands-on learning to connect youth to food, the land and one another.
The Washington Youth Garden welcomes people of all abilities to enjoy the one-acre education garden at the National Arboretum. With events, guided activities, nature play and a sensory garden, unique learning opportunities for all ages abound.
Support Washington Youth Garden with exciting expansion plans, including a redesign with more play features, a garden science curriculum and the green ambassador program.
