The St. Petersburg Free Clinic has significantly expanded its ability to provide food assistance in Pinellas County. The new Jared S. Hechtkopf Community Food Bank makes it possible for the Free Clinic to meet increased need for food and to provide more fresh, healthy options.

The Free Clinic currently feeds more than 50,000 people each month through 60 partner agencies and its We Help Food Pantry, and the demand continues to grow. The volume of food provided to hungry residents has nearly tripled from 1.6 million pounds in 2010 to an expected 4.7 million pounds this year.
