Since its founding by Laura Bush and James H. Billington in 2001, the Library of Congress National Book Festival has been hosting some of the nation’s most renowned authors, poets and illustrators each year to discuss their works with fans and foster a love of reading.

Held on Saturday, Aug. 31, this year’s festival will feature over a hundred authors, including Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Henry Louis Gates Jr., José Andrés and Barbara Kingsolver.

The event will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m., with no cost to attend.
