Medtech Seeks Pro-Innovation Policies

by

The United States faces many challenges to maintain its leadership role in medical innovation and ensure patients have timely access to the latest medical technologies.

A number of important issues confront policymakers, including repeal of the medical device tax, authorization of the latest User Fee Agreement to continue improving FDA’s processes, and reform of the coverage process to promote greater patient access to innovations.

These have always been bipartisan issues. The medtech community stands ready to work with President Trump, his administration, and the new Congress on pro-innovation policy solutions to address the health care challenges facing the country.
