Natural Gas Offers Savings and Environmental Benefits, But FERC Needed

by Michael Polzella

By building and expanding our natural gas infrastructure, we can deliver affordable, reliable and clean energy to the increasing number of Americans who want it and, in doing so, create jobs and support economic growth.

At the local level, 39 states have adopted or considered innovative proposals so that more citizens and businesses can access the cost savings and environmental benefits that this domestic fuel source delivers.

Filling the missing spots at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is also necessary and will allow the agency to continue making timely decisions on pending and future interstate natural gas infrastructure project certificates.
