Pallone: Smart Energy Policy Will Require New Hardware, Software, Thinking

by

Our nation’s energy infrastructure is in desperate need of modernization, but that takes a significant investment. Congress should work to bring our electricity grids into the 21st century and to facilitate the repair of old, leaky gas pipelines.

We need new hardware, software and thinking – work that can and should be done by American workers. We can make our infrastructure smarter, more flexible and more resilient. And we can significantly improve its safety and environmental performance.

Infrastructure modernization is too important to our economy, to the public and to workers to become a partisan issue. Let’s get to work.
