Loyalty Programs Are Worth It, Especially When You Book Direct

by Michael Polzella

With so many ways to book a reservation, rewards programs have become an effective way to build and strengthen relationships with guests. When guests book directly with hotels, hotel teams can build personal connections with guests – gaining a better understanding of their needs, accommodation preferences and wish lists.

Though rewards programs vary from company to company, guests can often get the lowest rate, additional room selection options – including premium room upgrades, mobile check-in and stay requests, free Wi-Fi, complimentary food and beverage and access to members-only experiences – all while earning points toward free stays or additional benefits.
