The video game industry is young – Pong was released in 1972. Yet in that short time, it has become a dynamic economic force that employs 220,000 people across all 50 states and adds over $30 billion to the U.S. economy.
As advocates for the industry, it is our job to fight for policies that will foster additional growth and innovation.
Whether protecting game companies (maintaining strong IP laws, breaking trade barriers), protecting consumers (cybersecurity and privacy regulations) or creating opportunities (STEM education), ESA does it all to protect this path to greater job creation, innovation and economic impact.
