DACA

The nearly 800,000 young people protected by Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are our neighbors, students and friends. And with 91 percent in the workforce, they are also our coworkers.

Unless Congress and the president enact legislation to provide permanent protection, 1,500 DACA recipients will lose their jobs every workday. And while removing DACA recipients from the workforce would cost more than $460 billion GDP over 10 years, passing the DREAM Act could grow the economy by as much as $1 trillion.

Turning our backs on Dreamers is as wrong for our economy as it is wrong.
