Ready for a Cyber Hack?

by

My clients frequently ask how best to prepare for a breach. They know that, despite reasonable efforts, it is a matter of “when,” not “if,” such an event occurs.

My top tips?

• Have a written plan – You won’t follow every step but it will keep you on track.

• Practice – Use realistic scenarios and practice making decisions.

• Act with urgency – The public expects speed and laws may require it.

• Take time to get it right – Get the facts right before putting your reputation on the line.

• Fight silos – Make sure you have a strong team.
