Building stronger communities

by

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”

It’s the same idea that makes this nation great – the knowledge that together, we can build stronger neighborhoods and communities. For millions of Americans, the holiday remembering King has become “a day on, not a day off” as they honor his legacy through service, volunteering in thousands of communities nationwide.

The 2018 MLK Day of Service on Jan. 15 will be no different, inspiring millions of Americans to make service a part of their lives all year long. Find a volunteer opportunity at mlkday.gov.
