Freedom of the press, granted by our Founding Fathers, is the cornerstone of any successful democracy. Our country is filled with committed journalists dedicated to seeking the truth and informing the public.

In today’s changing media landscape, even some of the most respected journalists have concerns over how reporting standards are challenged. During the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, we recognize reporters’ commitment to solid journalism.

This edition, we feature our 2018 Washington Women in Journalism Award nominees who have contributed greatly to our society through their dedicated journalism work. We’ll discuss the state of the media and future of journalism.
