Finding the right balance on data privacy concerns

Data privacy concerns highlight growing challenges related to technology’s increasing influence in our lives. But this rapidly growing sector faces a big threat from Washington’s practice of over-regulating.

We must keep in mind the enormous good the technology sector does. From e-commerce to social media to the gig economy, American entrepreneurs have led the world in innovation, created jobs and growth, and tackled daily challenges. Let’s not stifle their contributions.

Smart, appropriate action is possible to address the tech sector’s growing pains. Industry stakeholders and the government must work together with great care to find the right balance.
