Why the truck driver shortage should concern us all

Virtually every product you rely on to make it through your day can be traced to the back of a truck. That includes the food for your meals, the gasoline for your car and medicine for your children, not to mention the computer or phone you are using right now to read this article.

That’s why as our industry grapples with a major driver shortage, we all should be concerned. As drivers retire, it’s time to encourage the next generation to take the wheel. If we don’t address this challenge, this driver depletion will be a roadblock to economic growth.
