New Arlington apartment to offer affordable housing

by The 100 Companies

Last month, Eleventh Street Development, LLC, got the green light from Arlington County to move ahead with its plans to transform the commercial buildings at the northwest corner of Washington Boulevard and Kirkwood Road into a seven-story apartment building.

As part of the contract, the developer will be obligated to keep 16 of the units affordable for 30 years. These affordable units will be available to families earning 60% or less than the area’s median household income.

In addition to achieving LEED Silver energy efficiency, the new apartment complex will also include an interior courtyard and underground parking garage.
