With over 12 million new users since the beginning of the year, TikTok has recorded 2 billion downloads since its creation back in 2014.

The viral app, which helps users create engaging videos and content, has seen a surge over the past couple of months. Many users around the world have been creating TikTok accounts and content whilst in quarantine at home.

As the app gains popularity – revenues will soar. $456.7 million has been spent on TikTok to date; $86.5 million have been spent by users in the United States alone, making it the second-largest market for the Chinese-based app.
