by The 100 Companies

This week marks 50 years since Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to ever set foot on the moon, and DC is celebrating all week to commemorate the anniversary.

From July 19–20, the public can experience the incredible story with a 17-minute show titled “Apollo 50: Go for the Moon,” running three times each evening in front of the Smithsonian Castle.

The National Air and Space Museum is also celebrating with a rare Neil Armstrong spacesuit display on July 16 and a day of educational, family activities on July 19, dubbed Discover the Moon Day.
