Bread for the City hosts 2nd Annual Juneteenth celebration in DC

by The 100 Companies

Started in 1974, the Zaccheus Free Clinic was a free medical clinic serving DC. Two years later, a coalition of community churches formed to feed and clothe the poor. These two organizations became Bread for the City.

On Saturday, June 17, Bread for the City hosts their second Juneteenth for the City celebration. Joining forces with Mema’s Popups, this free event offers the community a day to recognize and celebrate Black voices. Come enjoy music, performances, presentations, food and fun all afternoon.

Bread for the City actively works against racism, a leading cause of poverty. Get free tickets or volunteer.
