Unique DC event combines art and charity for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

by The 100 Companies

The highlight of the Bra-ha-ha® Celebration is the unique art display with awards and auction.

Individuals, groups and businesses use a size 38c bra as a canvas to create their artwork, which is then displayed at Lynnhaven Mall Oct. 28 from 9-11 a.m., where the art is voted on and auctioned. Proceeds provide free mammograms and breast health services to underinsured community members.

The finished bras are awarded prizes, given in theme-based categories like Broadway as well as seasonal, age-based and standout categories, such as most creative.

Survivors attending the free event will receive a gift bag and celebration.
