DC Public Library launches innovative summer reading program

The DC Public Library launched Discover Summer 2024 this month to encourage everyone to embrace reading and learning throughout the summer. The program is for kids, teens and adults. Highlights include:

• Kids programs with music and art experiences, cultural activities, books and prizes.

• Teen programs with contests, author events, workshops, concerts, movies and book groups.

• Adult programs with author talks, book groups, concerts, book recommendations and exhibitions.

Discover Summer 2024 runs through Aug. 31. Participants must sign up online. You can visit the local library for fun prizes after signing up. Completing challenges gives you more chances to win great prizes.
