The deadly wildfires in Maui have forced thousands of local residents and visitors to evacuate in search of shelter, food, water and other basic resources. Currently, 115 people have been confirmed dead, and officials estimate at least 400 are still missing.
For those looking to help the Maui community from afar, here are a few options:
The Hawai’i Community Foundation has a Maui Strong Fund, which will help provide shelter, food, financial assistance and other services.
The American Red Cross of Hawaii is providing shelter, food and emotional support.
The Maui Foodbank is taking donations to help feed the displaced.
