Supporting nuclear power is supporting national security

Nuclear power is critical to America’s energy independence. A robust nuclear fleet allows us a voice in security and nonproliferation discussions, while providing alternatives for global allies who want to invest in clean, reliable power – without ties to Russia or China.

That’s why my bill is so important. The NUKE Act reduces regulatory burdens on existing plants, while maintaining our gold safety standards to help them stay competitive at home and abroad.

America’s nuclear plants, including the four in my district, provide clean energy and good jobs and cement our global leadership in nuclear power today and for future generations.
