Make a New Year’s resolution for cybersecurity

by The 100 Companies

Next month, millions of people worldwide will pick up – and likely drop – New Year’s resolutions, many of them centered around physical fitness. But considering how much time we spend on personal internet-connected devices, we should probably spend devote some 2023 promises to cybersecurity.

A few ideas for starters:

• Use a password manager: These apps can connect directly to browsers and create complex passwords locked by encryption measures.

• Beware the inbox: Phishing scams are more sophisticated and cleverer than ever.

• Check URLs: When visiting a website, look for “https” at the start of the URL to be sure it’s secure.
