Community is key to students’ success

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden shared this month about the impact Communities in Schools (CIS) is having in the city and the country. Providing a community of support in the classroom and at home, CIS empowers kids to stay in school and thrive in life.

Biden shared, “Kids can’t learn when their stomachs are empty; they can’t master reading when they need glasses, or concentrate when there’s trouble at home.”

CIS is removing roadblocks for all students regardless of race, gender, zip code or socioeconomic background so they reach their potential. Make a difference with a donation for Giving Tuesday.
