Fall is nearly here, and that can only mean one thing — the pumpkin spice craze is about to be in full swing. We’ve gone over some of the zanier pumpkin spice products, but what makes it so delectable anyways?
Well to start, it’s definitely not anything to do with pumpkins. “Pumpkin spice” refers to it being a spice for pumpkin, not a spice made with pumpkin. The ingredients you’ll find in most recipes consist of a combination of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and cloves.
And with such a simple ingredient list, it’s easy to make your own perfect pumpkin spice!
