National Civil Rights Museum commemorates Dr. King with #MLK50

by

Fifty years ago, the world suffered a tremendous loss with the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a tragedy that happened in downtown Memphis at Lorraine Motel.

To commemorate the American civil rights icon, The National Civil Rights Museum has combined education, digital engagement, art and community action to celebrate #MLK50 for a year, continuing through April 4, 2018. Signature events and in-depth explorations into Dr. King’s impact will focus on the last years of his life, both locally and nationally.
