In 1965, after attending landmark civil rights demonstrations in Selma, Alabama, Rev. Gordon Cosby returned to his Washington, D.C. congregation inspired. Soon afterwards, his sermons spoke of inclusion and ushering service to the community and needy DC children.
A handful of congregants soon heard the call and founded For Love of Children to ensure that all students – regardless of race or neighborhood – receive the support they need to achieve their dreams.
Since its inception, FLOC has improved the lives, education and living arrangements of over 10,000 children in need. Donations from people like you make those critical services possible.
