For too long, politicians from both parties have myopically focused on the trees in the energy equation, rather than the forest. They’ve debated production of alternative energy versus oil and gas – or the environment versus energy production. These tired arguments have failed America’s families.
One thing the president seems to understand is that sensible energy policy is the best, fastest way to spur economic growth and put unemployed or underemployed Americans back to work.
By developing our natural resources, fostering growth in alternative resources and eliminating inconsistent regulations, we will create practical solutions that both political parties should agree on.
