Our Distinguished Female Journalist of the Year: Cokie Roberts

by Michael Polzella

It’s more important than ever today that we have smart, hardworking journalists seeking the truth – and the major role played by female journalists in delivering thoughtful, groundbreaking news cannot be ignored.

That’s why we’re thrilled to present this year’s Distinguished Female Journalist of the Year honor to Cokie Roberts.

Her career contributions as a columnist, political commentator and bestselling author are too many to list, but from her current roles on NPR’s Morning Edition and ABC News, to her decades of analysis and reporting, Cokie represents everything female journalists should strive for. It’s our honor to recognize her this year.
