Combating the opioid crisis requires an all-hands-on-deck approach

Our country is in the midst of an epidemic that knows no bounds and continues to devastate communities.

The only way we can put an end to this scourge is by utilizing an all-hands-on-deck approach. And that’s just what Energy and Commerce is doing.

In the coming weeks, we’ll kick off legislative hearings to advance solutions, like modernizing laws to account for new treatments and technologies. It’s an important step that will happen simultaneously with our ongoing investigations of the most egregious causes of the epidemic, like pill dumping and patient brokering.
