Efforts to combat the opioid crisis

The opioid crisis has been sweeping across our nation and leaving destruction in its path. Each day, 115 Americans lose their battles with opioid addiction and ultimately their lives.

This tragic disease is claiming the lives of so many Americans and destroying communities, which is why much attention has been placed on finding a solution. Recently, President Trump declared the crisis a public health emergency.

Unfortunately, there is not just one, all-encompassing legislative fix to solve this crisis. This week, we’ll explore different legislative and community efforts aimed at combating the opioid crisis and bringing relief to those suffering.
