Creating a homemade jack-o-lantern is a thing of art, but when you put National Harbor chefs and artists to the task, you get far more than a pumpkin.
Chefs and artists will compete in a pumpkin carving contest, just one of the Halloween at the Harbor events on Oct. 30. The pumpkin masterpieces will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to Hero Dogs, an organization providing service dogs to local veterans and first responders with disabilities.
The family-friendly event will have trick-or-treating, pet parades, a pumpkin carving contest, a costume party, and a screening of the Halloween favorite, “Hocus Pocus.”
