U.S. dairy products companies support nearly 3 million American jobs, generate over $39 billion in direct wages and have an overall economic impact of more than $200 billion.
Fresh access to global markets via new and renegotiated free trade agreements will provide opportunities to expand U.S. dairy exports and create additional jobs. We must cultivate global trade policies that provide a level playing field for U.S. dairy.
Gaining new market access is an important goal for the U.S. dairy industry, and a proactive U.S. trade policy is essential to help lead us into the future.
