While the deal has yet to be set in stone, the future of the historic former Federal-American National Bank building will likely be a mix of restaurant or retail spaces, rather than the initial idea of an office building.
According to team representatives, a number of retailers and restaurateurs, including a few Michelin-starred chefs, have expressed interest in the space. Potential ideas include an enclosed winter garden restaurant space, a bistro or wine cellar in the basement, and a rooftop deck.
Originally built in 1926, the 35,000-square-foot space has been vacant since the mid-1990s.
