The next Farm Bill will require an intense focus on bridging farmers and government safety net opportunities to ensure conservation of natural resources, food security and rural development.
While constructing a Farm Bill has never been easy, I believe over the next year our Congress can come together to create a Farm Bill that provides longer term certainty, stability and competitiveness for one of the United States’ most important industries – agriculture.
