With hotels and lodging supporting 8 million jobs and representing every congressional district, it’s important to engage stakeholders at all levels – and two recent examples illustrate how this strengthens our industry.
Last month, our Stars of the Industry Awards Ceremony honored Sens. Klobuchar and Daines with AH&LA’s Spirit of Hospitality Awards. We also recognized Maria Ortiz, of the Wyndham Houston Medical Center, with AH&LA’s 2017 North Star Award for her exemplary outreach and relationships within her community. These are examples of how an industry is strengthened through its people – acting as ambassadors inside Washington and in communities nationwide.
