Chairman Conaway: House Ag Committee Seeking Bipartisan Solutions Amid Farm Income Drop

American farmers and ranchers have endured a 50% drop in net farm income over the past four years; the outlook remains bleak going forward. While it’s hard for anyone to imagine their income being sliced in half, these conditions will be front and center as we begin consideration of the next Farm Bill.

The House Agriculture Committee is committed to finding bipartisan solutions for every issue that comes before the committee – from providing robust risk management tools for farmers, to supporting voluntary, incentive-based conservation initiatives, to providing supplemental nutrition for families who need help putting food on the table.
