Fruits, Veggies and Science

by

Managing food safety when you can cook the heck out of something is easy. Managing mother nature is impossible, and the effort that goes into safely growing fresh fruits and vegetables is underrecognized by most Americans.

Yet, each day millions of people around the world work to provide billions of servings of fresh produce. The low incidence of foodborne illness, considering the scale of production, is remarkable. But we know more must be done. We are taking advantage of the latest in science and technology to improve our processes and practices, surpassing regulatory requirements. It’s our responsibility and our passion.
