Child Nutrition: A 360 Approach

Years ago, government initiated school lunch to improve kids’ health for national defense. Today, that “lunch” program is larger and still obliged to improve children’s health. PMA advocates for requirements to boost produce consumption, from farm bills to child nutrition programs – work we will continue.

But, that’s not enough. We need a culture where eating produce is fun, delicious, healthful. That’s why we administer eat brighter!, targeting kids ages 2-5, and support FNV, targeting teens and millennial moms.

If kids love produce early, we create consumers for life, which, like the original lunch program, benefits kids and our country.
