America’s greatest assets are its farm families

One of America’s greatest assets is the farm families that feed and clothe us.

Yet, as they contend with volatile markets, unpredictable weather, and many times unfair foreign competition, they remain steadfast due to a passion for growing food and fiber, a strong work ethic, and the certainty that crop insurance and farm policy give them during uncertain times.

That’s why – in the midst of a struggling farm economy – it is essential that Congress reauthorize a new farm bill this year. Making sure our producers have the necessary risk management tools is the best way to commemorate National Ag Day.
