Farmers are responsible stewards of our natural resources

Did you know that the U.S. Congress’ farm bill is the single largest source of private land conservation funding in the entire federal budget?

The conservation title of the farm bill provides $6 billion each year in financial and technical assistance to our farmers and ranchers to implement and manage conservation practices on working lands that provide clean water, clear air, healthy soils and wildlife habitat.

On this National Ag Day, thank a farmer for providing you with the safest, most affordable, most abundant food supply in the world and for being responsible stewards of this country’s natural resources.
